Anna Masdea holds a degree in Visual Communication and is the founder of lamoscastudio, her ceramic studio on Lake Como. 

Here she teaches ceramic courses, creates commissioned pieces for restaurants and private clients, and continuously develops her own collections of both functional and artistic ceramics. Her practice combines craftsmanship, experimentation, and a strong interest in the relationship between form and surface.

She works with both commercially prepared stoneware clays and wild clays collected locally. She particularly favours wheel throwing, using the fluidity of the process to develop organic and tactile forms. Her work is deeply inspired by natural shapes, textures, and patterns, which she observes and reinterprets through drawing and decoration.
Anna uses engobes, coloured slips, and natural earths to create drawings and patterns directly onto the clay
surface. Glazes are primarily used as a finishing element, enhancing and protecting the decoration rather than dominating it. Through this process, she explores the dialogue between clay, drawing, and the natural world,
allowing each piece to retain a sense of materiality and connection to its origins.
